Nellie Nellz
President
My name is Nellie Nellz, and I am the CEO and President of Serving Out of LOVE, Inc. From a young age, I felt a deep passion for helping others and giving back. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, I was fortunate to have a stable upbringing, yet I was acutely aware of the pervasive poverty surrounding me, a reality common in many third-world countries.
When I moved to Miami, Florida, the stark contrast of poverty and homelessness in my new community was shocking. It ignited a desire in me to take action. Throughout my adolescence, I dedicated my time to volunteering and doing whatever I could to assist those in need, and my passion only grew stronger.
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic was a turning point for me. As I searched for ways to help, I discovered that many organizations were not responding to the urgent needs of our community. That’s when I realized it was time to embrace my true calling. Thus, Serving Out of LOVE, Inc. was established to support the homeless population in Orlando, Florida.

Shenise Nelson
Vice President
My name is Shenise Nelson, and I proudly serve as the Vice President of Serving Out of LOVE, Inc. My passion for helping others began at a young age when I volunteered to assist elderly neighbors in my community. Originally from Augusta, Georgia, I later moved to Florida, where my commitment to service continued to grow and deepen. My personal struggles and hard work are reflected in the heart of our mission—to serve with compassion, dignity, and love.

For the past 13 years, I have worked as a mortgage loan partner, taking great pride in helping families achieve the dream of homeownership. Guiding others through such an important milestone in their lives has been both rewarding and fulfilling.
One of my proudest accomplishments has been my involvement with the Heroes Program for Children’s Miracle Network. Through this initiative, we not only raised critical funds but also brought encouragement and joy to children facing serious illnesses. Visiting them and seeing their smiles during difficult times was truly life-changing.
Today, I am extremely grateful to continue serving through our homeless initiatives. Helping individuals and families regain stability and hope is at the core of who we are as an organization.

Isany Thomas
Director
My name is Isany Thomas, and I am currently pursuing my education to become a nurse practitioner while working as a nurse. From a young age, I have felt a deep passion for serving others, and this commitment has only grown stronger over the years. The opportunity to help my community and provide support to those in need fills my heart with immense joy.
Being a helping hand is more than just a profession for me; it’s a calling. I find great fulfillment in connecting with people and making a positive impact on their lives. As I continue my journey in healthcare, I am dedicated to enhancing the well-being of my community and ensuring that everyone receives the compassionate care they deserve.

Chris Groomes
Project Manager
My name is Chris Groomes, and I’m with Keller Williams Commercial here in Central Florida. I specialize in retail and office space throughout Orlando, with some focus in light industrial. I work with local business owners and landlords to help them optimize their properties, whether that’s reducing vacancies, repositioning space for better use, or creating an exit strategy when it’s time to sell.

Beyond real estate, I serve as a Managing Director with Serving Out of Love, a nonprofit committed to uplifting the community through outreach, meal distributions, and support for underserved families. My work in both sectors is guided by a passion for service and a belief that strong communities and strong businesses grow together.

Jennifer Smith
Community Liaison
Jennifer Smith is a Branch Manager in the mortgage industry with almost 10 years of experience helping families and real estate partners achieve their goals.
A Florida native, she balances leadership and service with a deep commitment to family, community involvement, and creating meaningful connections—both personally and professionally.

Mark Meyer
Operations
I am Mark Meyer, Founder of the Me’Yer Deus Foundation and author of four books: Self-Motivation & Courage, Purpose, Learning Leadership Curriculum, and Destiny. My work is rooted in personal experience and driven by a mission to help others transform their lives. I focus on sparking courage, building resilience, and equipping individuals with the tools to unlock their true potential.
As a public speaker and mentor, I guide students and individuals through the challenges of self-discovery, low self-esteem, and personal growth. The Me’Yer Deus Foundation provides targeted support to help people overcome obstacles and thrive. With more than seven years leading nonprofit initiatives, I bring practical expertise and a proven track record in empowering others to create meaningful change in their lives.

Vernesha Sprauve

Vernesha Mayweather Sprauve is a proud wife, devoted mom of two, and passionate advocate for those who need someone in their corner. As an attorney and founder of her law firm, she focuses on social security disability, personal injury, estate planning, and probate. She built her career around helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most overwhelming moments with confidence and care.
As a new board member of Serving Out of Love, Vernesha is excited to extend her heart for service beyond her legal work and into the community in this capacity. She is deeply committed to uplifting the underserved and believes everyone deserves dignity, support, and access to justice.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, she is a self-proclaimed foodie who loves new experiences, meaningful connections, and embracing life with curiosity and gratitude.

Terrie Tany
Treasurer
Terrie Tany is the owner of Tany Tax and Financial Services, helping business owners and nonprofit organizations stay compliant, organized, and profitable through bookkeeping, tax preparation and planning, payroll support, and financial consulting. She specializes in creating clear financial systems that reduce stress, improve decision making, and support long term growth while serving clients in all 50 states.
